Apparently this is some automatic back up that gets stored every 20 minutes, if there's a detected corruption upon a reload it should load this .bak file instead then save fresh again.
Completely guessing here (I could be wrong so BACK THINGS UP)
But you MIGHT just be able to rename
TheIsland_AntiCorruptionBackup.bak
to
TheIsland.ark
Let me know how it goes (I'm going to need to know if it works anyway since I've never tried myself!).
That being said, my outline above SHOULD be what restores things!
Also... I do play on your guys INS server(s) once in a while ;-) but I'm running my own ARK server.
If you want hourly backups you'll probably have to write your own batch script (look into xcopy, it'll help).
I created a bash script to autosave the SavedArks folder, tar, and compress it. I recently needed to do a backup. There is a serious glitch though - none of my dinos or buildings appear to be owned by my tribe. The tribe manager wants me to create a new tribe. My tribe mates (which I was able to access by ghosting) seem to be allied green and in the correct tribe. Using this tool ( http://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/594821545173979380/ ) shows the game data for my tribe to be set correctly.
Currently trying to do a backup with the anti-corruption file.
