Melee dmg %- how does it actually work?
I've been hearing different opinions regarding this topic. Some would say the actual weapon doesn't matter, so you'll deal the same dmg with a pickaxe as with bare hand for example.

Could I get a confirmation on that and if weapons do matter, I'd be interested in to learn which is currently the highest dmg melee weapon that can be crafted?

On a different note but same post: what's the trashmob respawn timer in caves? I'm getting the artifact in about every half an hour but with no bugs or scorpions to kill.

the damage % is typically a multiplier on the base attack damage. Your fist is different from a pike. It makes comparing dinosaurs a pain (albeit an obvious one) when a dilo has a higher damage multiplier than a raptor (despite the raptor having a faster speed, attack rate, and base damage)

sadly the current melee stat is shown in % only which is kind useless unless we know the base stats of the the melee in the first place as we can't tell how much of a % boost we get with each point invested sadly but hopefully that will change an will help in compairing dinos

Can see the damage by attacking a tamed dino and checking health, metal pike is the highest damage weapon by far, then metal hatchet was slightly higher than metal pick if I remember correctly. Melee damage also increases the torpor damage of fists by the same multiplier.

Thank you for the replies, so I stick with the metal pike for now and keep unleashing fury upon them.
