If you go to the wiki, it will tell you where they spawn on lost island. But I have personally not seen one yet.

They definitely spawn on this map, I was running shiny dinos and it spawned a shiny Ferox somewhere above the top of the snow.

Find a cave entrance at 26.77, 54.49. I found a few Ferox in that cave. Should be a big open cave with moss and fern everywhere. Careful though, Arthros, Spiders, Bats and all will be in there as well. A hole in the floor by a waterfall will take you further down to find Aberrant Raptors, Carnos, Ravagers, and maybe a few more Ferox.
