Expansion pack, what should I expect from this?

What exactly is in this pack, without all the marketing words, real game changes, you guys feel this is needed?

The Free maps lack the specific mechanics i listed before, however in terms of the layout themselves they are just as polished and have even more various creatures. Ragnarok is a fan favorite because its vanilla and scortched earth combined but with a few new creatures too. Its massive. great for RP. ECT. But with mods you can add all of the other creatures that are not present, and even more.

The Genesis DLCS are more story heavy. Same a bit with extinction. Aberration and scortched earth have alot of story but not as in your face as genesis.

New maps & bugs to explore along side with bigger download.

Joke aside, I do think that paid DLCs worth it - even if some paid maps are half broken under Linux (I just avoid those except for doing a server jump in order to get XYZ from the paid DLC).

I mean these Expansion Passes are for adding goodies to the game, right?

It is part of my original question all along. I never asked about the Expansion Maps, but instead about the Expansion Seasonal packs.
