Report a translation problem
I recommend you try the solution that worked for me. Search the internet for something called "xpadder". Look for the older free version if you don't want to pay for the newer one. It lets you easily add keystrokes to any button press on the Xbox controller. I don't use the d-pad for quick access to the item slots so I just programmed pressing up on the d-pad to send the "I" keystroke. I also programmed pressing down to send the "F" key to open the dinos inventory while I'm riding it. Now I never have to bring up the menu to access the inventory.
It's a really wonky workaround but it kept me from pulling my hair out.
Works for me, though they should fix the bug. And perhaps provide better control explanations...
