Apprentice bow question

Hi folks

Just found an apprentice bow with 142% damage, and I would like to know if this would have any effect on torpor with tranq arrows or will it just hurt more with instant damage?

Torpor varies with damage, the higher damage, the more torpor. But a primitive bow is enough and preferable for taming

From what I can gather yes it will increase topor effect. But you will also likely kill instead because you will also do more damage. Especially to fliers or with head shots. I think of it this way though, if they die, they weren't worthy.

You will need less arrows, (like with crossbow) and if you only tame high lvl stuff it won't die anyway.

I haven't tested it with any sort of procedure but I have seen it in practice.
You can always test it yourself. Make some tranq arrows and shoot some turtles with each bow. You will see a difference.

Anything dealing with bow, crossbow, or compound bow has been tested. You should be able to search through the forum and find it.

yes. biger stun effect.

I tested with my 121.7% bow and seems to do about 20% more torpor to my parasaur without saddle. Not sure if that 1.7% is completely extra damage compared to torpor inflicted. But to your original question: Yes, increases torpor - personally tested.
