Metal walls, stone foundation. useful in pve?
I'm dreading having to completely replace my stone walls, built before Alpha's existed, since you can't replace a fence foundation like you can every other structure. If I put metal walls up on the existing foundations would it work or be a waste of materials? Do Dinos auto-target foundations, or will they actually attack the walls?

Protect the foundations with metal spikes.

My foundations tend to survive attacks and it's the walls that get damaged.

Doesn't matter. I was on my rex pvping last night, was trying to nom a guy through his stone wall when it instantly came crashing down, i got in killed all their ♥♥♥♥ and ran off again... the lesson that guy learnt, he put wooden fence foundations instead of stone ones, so his stone walls meant ♥♥♥♥ when my rex aoe took out his wooden fence foundation, i was surprised too until I realised they were wooden fence foundations. Lol, so basically.... re-do it! :steamhappy:

The damage to the structure from an alpha is still the same regardless, I was giving an example of why using wooden or stone foundations will make the whole thing crumble, not just one wall, the entire set of it.

Don't need to be anti at me for providing an example.

Your talking about YOUR Rex attacking a guy's wall. We are talking about the Alpha, not trying to be mean, I am just saying.

No doubt, but the damage I do to wooden fence foundations in pvp on a rex is multiplied immensly in both PVE and PVP if an alpha attacks your base. Alpha can destroy your entire STONE base in both game types, I've tested it. I could destroy metal in my test but they patched that hotfix in, did find that odd.

Metal is your only real protection against an alpha I suppose. Metal is ez farm anyway.
