Lampost do not work underwater
I wanted to shed some light under the base and while it does let me place the lamp post it only allows me to set a pin. It is powered BTW.

Any ideas? I figured if i can place a turret underwater then a light post should work too...

did you try making a keypad entering that pin and see if it turns on
duvelsuper Aug 8, 2015 @ 11:42pm
yup. it turns on the one upstairs but not the underwater one. Everything is set, just the option to turn on/off.

Even placed a 2nd one just to make sure. And yeah, it allows me to place them underwater but not turn them on even if they are powered

lol, do they? I didn't know that an automatic weapon would work correctly underwater....you know with the resistance of the water on the bolt mechanism and all....

yup. assault rifles dont work but turrets do. logic.

AK47s in Real Life will fire underwater however M16s won't (with that said AK47s fired underwater will jam faster).

but we digress.... if lamppost are not meant to work underwater then dont allow them to be placed there in the first place..... or let us turn them on

with that said.. should i make a bug report on this?

the more i think about it the mean it seems i placed it in the wrong section

I would report it, becuase I don't think the turrets should be working underwater and I don't think you should be able to place either electrical components or devices underwater. At least not until they have made underwater base building publicly available (air tight underwater bases)
Cap'n Slappin Aug 9, 2015 @ 5:07pm
Bullets don't travel very far nor fast in water...

OT: The lampposts shouldn't be working underwater imo... so it's probably working as intended...

maybe we'll see an underwater lamppost thing... would be cool.

If lampposts or any electrical equipment should not work under water then they should not be able to be placed there. But I will report it
