Any reason why the flashlight attachment doesn't fit a shotgun?

The Engram description clearly says the flashlight attachment fits 'Shotguns'. So why doesn't my costly flashlight fit onto my costly shotgun?

I'm happy to fit it to a PA shotgun, but I haven't managed to collect another 620 Keratin/Chitin to make the sodding polymer yet! :D And placing it on my rifle is a bit pointless - walking through the undergrowth with a bloody light beam shining out of the front of a one shot rifle is not something I wanna be doing.

I know it's Alpha, but if costly (i.e. they take a lot of time to gather resources for) attachments don't fit weapons as of yet, please don't tell me they do within the Engrams. :)

Apart from that irritation, I'm still loving ARK......too much, says my wife......

I think there actually no attachment that can be used on the first Shotty; Only the PA Shotgun can have some attachment. (Or at least that's what I heard)

Are you talking about the sawn off? Coz it goes on the pump action, works well too.

Doesn't make much sense that the shotgun can have a scope but not the flashlight attachment though. Ark physics man, how does it work?

Sticky tape and a flash light, works everytime..

I think the pump shotty should get attachments.

Yeah, well, as poor as the pistol is, I'll have to use it on that for now, at least until I manage to make my PA. The devs need to amend the Engram description though; in my books, 'Shotguns' means ALL shotguns. :)

And yeah, the dev decisions on what works with what at this stage is a bit odd; allowing a flashlight on a rifle but not a shotgun seems the wrong way round to me. But hey, I'm not complaining.....just a bit confused.
