Metal sickle NOT working?

So iv been derping around the forums here a bit to find out more about the sickle and why its not working like i see it in youtube vids. basicly i see all these guys harvesting fiber like no other in seconds,

Yet when i use it on my single play i get a miniscule amount of fiber along with berries and seeds. WTH?? why is it working for others and not me? is it a setting? is it truly tied to ones melee damage? whats the deal?


anyone one out there got this figured out?

oki i think i got it. I was using a mod called quality of life. My guess is that due to it changing the way harvesting works or it not being updated that it was causing conflict with the games data. SO im going to hope the mod auther updatsa soon so i can use the mod as it does a lot for teh game. but ya, took that off and i get all the fiber now.

Uh... You need to equip it and then use attack. Not 'E' to gather. I'm going to guess that's your problem. Since otherwise you're pretty much the only one having this problem.

Good to know! And yeah, disabling mods is always the first thing to try when you run into issues that make no sense.

umm duh,, what im sayin is that a MOD was conflicting with the games data. i know how to use the thnig. I aint a derp ya know :P
