Snapping of behemoth stone gate

The large stone gate snaps very nicely into an existing wall, but the behemoth gate when it snaps complains about being obstructed, but if you then remove what's obstructing it, it no longer snaps to the wall, only at 45 or 90 degree angles.

It's very strange. Anyone else have figured out how to snap a stone behemoth gate?

Another problem is they have stuffed up the implementation of the gateway. Both the Stone and the Metal Behemoth gateways are both 7 foundations wide, BUT they snap in different locations.

So the Metal Behemoth gateway is 7 full foundations long.

The Stone Behemoth gateway is 6 full foundations + 2 half foundations long.

This makes a mess when you have your walls against the gateway and they leech through.

I've given up on trying to get it to properly snap into place in my existing wall, and just decided to place it where I want it, and redo my whole fencing area. Not a prospect I'm looking forward to, but I know the hole in the fence will annoy me even more :)

I went through 18 Behemoth Gates on local before I figured out that they will always snap backwards to any fence foundation. They overlap fences and foundations so just make sure to get the walls built up around it the way you want then place it so it clips over them and doesn't snap.

Good, I'm glad I'm not the only person who is having serious problems with the Stone Behemoth Gateway. I just posted my own thread about this just a little while ago, under the title "Problems with the new Stone Behemoth Gateway". To be perfectly honest, I'm at my wit's end with this thing. After multiple failed attempts over the last couple of hours, I decided to say forget it and replace my metal gate. It's not worth the headache at the moment.
