HELP TAMING

i am trying to tame a dodo or phiomia or any other animal or sea creature
i have enough berries for a dodo more than it can carry about 50 pounds of berries (not including narco berries) but when i feed it the berries it wont eat them and this is on a level one
the dodo rather starve itself then allow me to tame please help me

so you're knocking it out (punching it works for dodos) and putting the berries in it's inventory and then waiting and it's not eating?

You have to wait until its food drops 30 units for a 'Berry, 50 for meat (herbivores eat berries, carnivores eat meat) you have to keep them unconscious while taming (force feeding them narcotics or narcoberries) do not force feed them normal berries/food as it doesn't contribute to taming them

This ^ and if you're fullfilling all of this criteria and it is still not working then you have either encountered a bugged dodo or are playing on a solo/offline game where taming can sometimes not work (again, another bug)

what im doing is giving them the food they're just not eating it im giving them all types of berries there not eating it they are killing themselves by not eating i think its a bug

For a phiomia, just knock it out and toss in a stack of mejoberrys and most of the time it tames before the torpor runs out :)

Sounds like a bug, if their hunger drops more than 50 without them taking food from their inventory then something is amiss.

thank you i was playing offline so thats probaly it ill wait until the update then
