Bear traps
Hopefully they make these traps expensive to craft. Simply because they will make knocking stuff out sooo much easier ! Lay a bear trap, get trex stuck in it, then shoot arrows at trex from distance, so it can't hurt ya. Won't need to get things to get stuck in rocks/trees anymore lol.

Make it so you have to work a little harder, to get that big dino you wanted to tame, but able to do it easier !

Also, hopefully the dino will be able to break the trap , eventually, so you can't just lay a bunch of traps and go check them 8 hours later to see what ya got ! Even on PVE, since dinos can't break player made items, unless targetting that player.

Wow! Why is it, people want things that make this game no challenge at all, and no effort to gather supplies? Isn't all that part of the 'game' ?

Some of these people really need to go back to their Minecraft creative mode game, I swear!

Sarcasm too strong, please nerf.
I dont think youll be able to use it on Trex, its humans and smaller dinos like raptors, dilos etc

Shouldn't they be called dinosaur traps though?

Good job at complaining about something that is not even released;)

I love the idea of the traps, seems logical, and gives us a more 'legit' way to play, instead of taking advantage of game mechanics, like getting things stuck in rocks and such, stuff you really wouldn't do in real life. A trap makes sense! But they really shouldn't be super cheap, or maybe just temporary incapicitation of the target (meaning the thing in the trap breaks the trap).

But the traps seem fun, you lay one, then have to lure the thing into the trap, without getting stuck in it yourself, first lol (I can see myself doing that, trying to lure in that lvl 120 spino I want to tame, and then spino just comes over and munches my stuck character).

Don't know what they will implement, but it could be something that only slows them down for a minute...like when the stub their big down on a small rock.

I second this motion.

And make it so traps have a chance to lop off their leg so when you tame the T-Rex it has 50% health and 25% movement speed and only walks around in circles.

Heh, I think my ichy has that problem already, for some odd reason, he sorta swims on his side lol. When I try to ride him, I always sorta have to look at my screen sideways so things look right lol No clue how to get him to position himself normally lol

Ahh, he has swim bladder disease. Give him 30,000mg of baby aspirin he'll be fine.

Anybody tested this yet? On one hand it seems a cheesy way to tame, on the other, it is far better then getting a 10 ton dino stuck on a twig. Do the traps do damage to the dino?
