Taming dinos using Scorpion
Is it ture that when you knock out wild dions with a scorpion, then their taming efficiency start from 100%?

You will have a better chance with a scorpion. Then again RNG.

The scorpion's torpor rating scales with it's melee stat, if I recall correctly (most of my scorpions tend not to last long enough to get to a decent level - they have a habit of being eaten whilst unconscious or ambushed by raptors just after taming when I'm involved). However, it still deals normal damage. I am unsure at what % you'd need melee at to be able to do deal more torpor than damage, or at least enough torpor to drop your target within a few hits (to minimise the amount of damage done to the target).

Have never seen 100 percent myself though we did managed to knock out a plesiosaur that began at 99.6, and that was using the crossbow.

Good luck landing a hit on something larger than a Raptor with a Scorpian. Hit detection for Scrops has been broken for weeks.

Managed to get a Mammoth down the other day and it began at 100%. Had five kibble to use for it and it stayed at 100% through all five kibble + 1 berry swallow.

I did it with a bow and tranq arrows though.

For Scorp, I have more issues hitting large things than anything. I gave up using it and just stick with tranq arrows. Least till we get the sniper rifle with the tranq bullets.

Not sure what trouble you're having with your scorpion but I have used mine to take down several things this week whilst I was out, testing the number of stings I need to take things down through various lvl brackets.. These included raptors, trikes, stegos, anklyos etc. Didnt have a problem getting any of them down.

All I use for hunting and taming is my scorpions, I have my ringleader who is at lvl 136 (tamed at lvl 114) with 4800 health and over 700% damage. I can put to sleep almost anything in the wild.

The way topor works, is with me at 700%, I would go 700x0.45=315 topor loss over 10 seconds, and damage would be 700x0.15=105.

To put a dino to sleep just hit them count to ten and hit them again, continue till they eventually go to sleep.

Also I have no issue with bigger dino's, I took down quite a few bronto's today, along with spino's.

My scorpion had about 600% damage and was the only thing I ever used for knocking dinos out. They run so fast and can run for days before they tire out making it great for kiting dinos in to safe pens to tame them in, just hit the big ones every 10 seconds while kiting them and if you time it properly they will pass out when they hit the pen (if they are agro).

97.2% is the highest i've seen so far for taming eff. and that was using a bow, minimal draw, spaced 3 sec apart.
