Kibble Disappears if there is extra in a taming dino
If your dino is about to eat the last kibble, take all the others out. They will disappear, just lost 12 bronto kibble when my level 171 sabertooth tamed.
Happened last night too, I lost 4 bronto kibble when my 149 saber tamed.

I'll post this in the bugs section as well, just letting you know.

EDIT: I should probably add that with the 149 Saber, there was 8 kibble remaining as he was about to be tamed, he ate one (which left 7), then tamed. I opened his inventory and there were only 4 kibble remaining.

So only give it one at a time?
MrBagel Aug 3, 2015 @ 12:58pm
No, when it is about to be tamed, take the extra out.

Argh I completely misread that sorry.

Thanks for the warning.

Out of interest how much kibble did you use for the 149 one?

And make sure there's some normal food.

We have tamed 2 rex's and 3 argents atm and both had excess kibble on them and didnt eat it. Have you tried with anything but a saber? we have kibbled a saber but didnt have enough to fully do it we did like 10 primes on the end. I will keep my eye out though

Nope. I've never full-kibble tamed any other animals other than a Saber.

Just to be clear, it "disappears" because the animal needs health after the long tame. It was already stated above to pull the rest out right before the tame is done and to have raw meat ready. I lost 5 bronto kibble of my remaining 12 to the same thing before quickly realizing what had happened. You will lose about 2 kibble a second by not taking it out when the tame is done.

Just for those interested in stat tracking, my 116 Sabre took 20 kibble and 1.5 hours to tame. It gained 49 levels, putting it at 165.

Ah, that makes sense... both sabers I took down were low on HP. Thanks for clearing that up.

So thats your problem.. YOu dont need to take the kibble out just PUT raw meat in it while its taming also.. That is why ours never eat teh excess kibble.. We have STAcks of raw meat in it also. A dino will eat meat over kibble when it is done, but kibble over meat till it is done..So that isnt a bug thats you not putting raw meat into the animal same thing would happen if you had cooked prime in there with no raw meat. Next time make sure there is raw meat in the dino As well as kibble =/

I imagine that this is less of an issue of health and more of an issue of it's Food going up when it gets the bonus levels from being tamed.

Good point. Hadn't thought about that. Regardless, stack your sabres with raw meat before it finishes!

Food stat can get lvl'ed when the bonus lvl's are applied.. Not always but it can. That food is needed to be eaten to refill the bar.. Just like hp and other stuff when it is lvledit needs to heal/eat to fill it up.. Pretty sure the entire problem is like he allrdy admitted he didnt have raw meat ALSO on the tame so when it woke up it was hungry and boom ate teh only thing on him .. Kibble... It isnt a bug its his fault for not putting raw meat in it also

Then you must have different experiances than mine.. My hp and food have to be regained.. Stam is instant because its not being ridden Oxyis instant because it isnt under water. Food and hp have to be regained though

out 118 bir went from 4800 food to 6900 so thats 2100 food so yes think it can..
Cyligod Aug 3, 2015 @ 2:53pm
bird* also gained 48 lvls and went to 166 so in 48 lvl ups thats not so uncommon imo
