They're very usefull against people who picks you up with argentavis and close combat
But i mostly agree for the rest, it sucks, but it was intrnded
Yup but it still saves lives :D
Are you trying to kill dinos with guns to level and farm? You should be happy that guns/ammo is so hard to make/craft. Its one of few reasons why this game isnt 20% aimbotters like every other survival game that focused on guns like you want them.
Ik it's kinda expensive but it's still more affordable than the guns that requires polymer and stuff.
I cri everytime i shoot
sure. when u spend 6hour to tame a high level rex, and somebody will kill it with 5 nades when ur offline...
Now, onto the OP:
I agree, and I can see your point. Smithy weaponry is cheaper and due to the cost/efficiency superior to fabricated versions. I'm not sure how I feel about the compound bow now that the durability was increased 5x, since it does do 1.5x torpor than a crossbow and should last longer as well. Longneck rifle is also the preferred choice all around and assault rifles are barely even looked at.
Shotguns..well, they are situational. Paired with a parachute they'll probably save your life from being picked up by an argentavis.
I will always support the idea that firearms are hard and non-practical to make, but smithy aka primitive versions shouldn't be more viable than fabricated versions.
Take what I said with a grain of salt though. I barely use firearms in this game other than to change the pace up.
Edit: Perhaps this is all in preparation for better methods of obtaining high end materials and highly needed ones where it'll become easier to mass produce what we need to make them.
