Killed inside my base by wild Raptor.
Last night I logged off inside my base. It's made of stone walls, with an outer set of wood walls around the entire thing, keeping my dinosaurs (and myself) safe. Or so I thought...

I just logged in today and got a message that I had been killed by a level 12 Raptor (really, of all the ways to go out, that's kind of sad). The thing is... I know exactly where I logged out and unless this thing spawned INSIDE my house (and on the second floor no less), there's no way it could have gotten to me. I always log out near the middle of a 4x4 house, on the second floor.

I am legitmately confused (and annoyed) as to how this happened. There is damage to some of the internal structures of my base, but all the walls are still up and in perfect condition. The dinosaurs that I had on 'Neutral' are moved around as if something got them agitated, but I still don't know what happened.

Can anyone explain this? Even if not, has it happened to anyone else? I hope not, but it might at least give the Devs more info to go off of to fix future issues.

EDIT: For clarification, this was on a PVE server, so no way a player or player-controlled Raptor did it.

happens to me to.

even caught them inside my house once in a while.. and sadly it tends to break beds/boxes in range as well due to their attacking and zipping around

Yes, it definitely was.
Edit: Also, this was a PVE server, so there is no way a Player did it.

Yep, had a dilo in my base from nowhere. Somehow they spawn in I think. Make sure your dinos are on neutral!

Same thing bappened to me. My house us all stone and no openings. I later discovered (i think) how it happened. Seems there is some kind of bug where dinos (at least raptors) can artack you through the wall if you are close to the wall when you log out. I have killed someone on accident myself while attacking their wall with my pike. Before the wayy was destroyed i hsaw the message 'you have killed joe'..... Im sorry joe

I joined 2 times to the server Official-Primitive-458 and found my dinos being attacked by the giant Ants and in the other ocasion by a raptor, they were inside my building where i store the dinos, it was made of stone walls with double layer...

I guess I'm mostly annoyed because I thought that I was safe, so logged off with a bunch of stuff in my inventory, including a full set of Flak Armor and my best metal tools and crossbow. I should have known to put it in a storage container, but I honestly thought I was safe in my base. :\

You could try having a guard-dilo inside your house, I'm contemplating doing that ever since a raptor ate my box of gasoline reserves the other day (also inside a house behind a 5-high wall).

I might just do that... I have a 'dodo pen' inside my big walls. It's a small 3x3 area with thatch walls 2-units high. Made it mostly as a joke, but it looks nice. I keep a few 'neutral' Dimos in with the dodos to keep them safe, just in case something gets in. I might do the same inside my own base now.

same here, again. Double metal walls, and something killed our sarco, destroyd generator, fridge (all our 100+ eggs), and few storage boxes... third time this has happened, gg...

It *may* have been a troll dropping the Raptor inside your walls, since unless if the server has no PvE flyer carry, there is the possibility of someone griefing in that way.

If not a griefer, it might have also just been that the Raptor picked a fight with something outside your base, got knocked back by the attack and landed inside your walls, then one of your dinos just so happened to punt it to your house and it turned its attention to your sleeping body. Kind of odd and seemingly random, I know, but it CAN happen.

We have two metal roofs and 4 turrets, so no players. Friend was killed by a REX. Our outer yard is full of tamed dinos and a tall wooden fence. For some reason, all the dinos went passive on their own as well.

UPDATE: The servers came back up and I'm even more annoyed... Not only did the Raptor kill me, it also destroyed two Large Storage chests and a Bookshelf I had with every blueprint I had collected. I lost all my metal (about 100 ingots), over 100 crystals, 20 pearls, and about 70 units of Paste, along with a lot of other materials. T_T

Walls are completely undamaged. -_____-

At least you got a raptor. I got a level 81 carno somehow spawn INSIDE my sealed base (PVE), destroy my fabricator, and eat one of my trikes. Happened a few days ago.

Nothing is safe anymore.
We need some kind of special torch or object that prevents spawns in certain range , similary to beds in 7 days to die who prevents zombies in 20x20 radius from spawning
