Official Servers Set Restart Times

I've noticed that the official server (243) I play on never really gets a restart unless there has been a patch. Sometimes this causes alot of lag and increased ping on our server which can last up to a couple days.

I was wondering if it would be possible for all official server to have a set restart time to decrease some of it's lag, I think this would massively help the official servers stability. Some of the unofficial server I've played on have at least a once a day restart and their servers rarely lag as of what I've experienced.

Hope this'll be taken in considiration.

There is a bug that resources that have not respawn will never respawn if the game world is shutdown. The only work around is to see the respawn timer to 0 or minimize restart time.

I've posted this exact same thing....can't seem to get traction from the devs on this. They need to just admit they have a major memory leak and do nightly restarts until they can fix their issue.

They also have a resource not respawning issue as well and a nightly restart would me it terrible.

Yeah exactly nightly restarts on each of their official servers is what I've been thinking as well, most people would be asleep anyway and not much would be lost then either if a server will be restart. Maybe have an announcement, just as when a new patch is about to be released as well and a restart shouldn't take too long either, incase you're taming some animal it'd still be there after the restart if you've built a small fence around it or lucky a Raptor or Dilo hasn't attacked it. :P

As I ask everyone else what about the lost resource spawn error that happen when the server shuts down?

There is an error that everytime you shut down the server or game and a resource has not respawned then that resource will not respawn ever. If you cut down a tree just before the server shut down then that tree will never return.

It not too bad if it shuts down less often but for personal server or local game which are shut down daily you start to see th island lost all it tree and caves having no resources.

I'm not gonna read all 6 pages lol :P but from what I've seen in the 1st 2 pages is that people encounter this problem in singleplayer. I haven't seen, nor noticed anything not respawning on the server I play on after a server restart for a patch or a crash ect.

Still hoping for 1 of the devs to see this thread and maybe give us a headsup on why it wouldn't be possible.

It not big at first up something you notice after days of shut down. Just hope is not a problem with their servers.
