What they should fix is the stereo sound, which everybody is asking for some time. Mono sound is ♥♥♥♥. Can't tell which side a dino is coming from from it's footsteps.
No issues with it here either. Honestly, the generator is much louder than the fridge. And I acutally enjoy the clinking sounds and such. Makes it sound like an actual fridge.
Bottom line seems to be they have not attended to the soundstage in the project yet; it's got a long way to go.
A project that is still in Alpha and Early Access has a long way to go? Who would have thought?
On PC at least, if you go to your in-game Options and open the Advanced Settings (the icon at the top that looks like a sword next to a gear), one of the options is "Inventory Access Sounds". Uncheck that, save, and you'll never hear the refrigerator noise again.
Note that this turns off all sound effects for accessing inventory (including your personal inventory, tames, preserving bins, storage crates, etc.), but frankly, I don't miss them at all.
