- Many of the dino's are place holders for other dino types. IE ants represent all insects atm.
Though I do agree we should see or be able to control the balance more IMO.
Well, you should re-read it yourself. No stone-collecting dino in the patch notes...
No mention of Doedicurus in the patch notes.
Also, there are also dragonflies (meganeura) now so ants are not representing all insects any more.
Don`t get it. How wouldn`t the carnivores survive? You do realise that having more carnivore types has nothing to do with the amount of per-creature rates of herbies/carnivs in the game?
Read the confirmed list of creatures, please... There are TONS of herbivores to come. Basically, we didn`t get any land carnivore amoung the announced creatures for weeks.
The food chain is more of a food pyramid. With a few master predators at the top who eat eat the stuff below them. Because of the nature of how we eat (and consume energy)there needs to be more of the stuff below each layer to support the predators at the top.
With the herbivores at the bottom, by definition there has to be more of them to support the ones on the layer above. Otherwise the predators would eat all of the prey, run out of food and die out until the herbivores repopulated.
His argument falls down when you realise that what he says isnt true, herbivores do outnumber carnivores. They're called trikes and they're EVERYWHERE because they are the placeholders for the other dinos coming into the game.
That's exactly what Okim meant by saying ''You do realise that having more carnivore types has nothing to do with the amount of per-creature rates of herbies/carnivs in the game?''.
