How far is a flare gun visible to others at night ?
like beeing on the other side of the map with a bird

I imagine as far as someones View Distance allows them to see.
So no, someone on the other side wouldnt be able to see it, but if someone gets close they could.

Not sure what view distance setting my friend has but he was at the red obelisk and saw my flare at the green obelisk.

We made a sylvester party at midnight with the firework skin, fired 100+ flareguns from the vulcan, the whole server could see it, so you can say at least a half map viewdistance for it

Its pretty darn far - and good too!
What use is a flare gun if you can't use it to locate the person firing it? :D

We've been able to shave 30 minutes off of our "where are you?" moments.
You know... Those times where you say "I'm in a jungle somewhere!" or "On the beach!" or "Near some Trikes!".
