The Scythe
Why not make the scythe also collect berries? It's a pain for players without dinos trying to get berries.

EDIT: As everyone is mindlessly saying no for no reason. I will state my reason for my position. I play solo which I prefer as of now, don't give me the yada yada about joining a tribe, so in my position, I tend to start from scratch pretty often. Now the problem from starting from scratch is getting the initial Narco Berries for your trike, which makes berry gathering easy. So the scythe should be able to gather berries too for this reason.

It's meant to be. It's to motivate you to get your first harvesting dino, but as yet there is no dino for collecting fiber, and fiber is required for about half the items in the game. Making a tool for it only made sense, whereas almost any collector dino can get berries by the bucketload.

It's not hard to get a trike... You can easily hand pick narcoberries at the same rate a low level trike needs them. Get 1 person to help and you're golden
Trikes are great at collecting berries

Also players without dinos have crop plots
Crop plots can grow berries pretty nicely

Know what can't be grown or gathered nicely?
Fiber

It's not hard to get berries at all. Not sure why you're having such an issue, but it's as easy as walking up to ground plants and pressing E until it disappears.

lvl 1 trike takes like 45 mins and 100 narcoberries. It will boost your berry collecting a ton.

Just as a tip for a low level trike if you get about 25 narcotic and like 200 berries should take under an hour to tame.

Not supporting the berry gathering of it, but if you make this your standpoint then why have an item to gather fiber..Some very intelligent person said this once: "it's as easy as walking up to ground plants and pressing E until it disappears."

It's not hard to get a parasaur (sp?). They gather berries too. Not as well as a trike, but it's an easy dino to get and a good steping stone to gather the berries to get a trike.

i think they will add a different item for berry gathering. google a "berry comb" its a tool that is used to collect berries IRL.

But you get berries more reliably than fiber by doing that
And berries can be grown and gathered by dinos

That is literally the only method to get fiber

I really don't understand why people are so against a tool that would make it easier to gather berries as well.

My guess people are going to be too lazy throwing away berries that are also gathered by the scythe.

We have a tool that gathers berries easily, it's called a Dino...
