Compound Bow - details, tests, conclusion.
Updated info.

I have tested Comp Bow on my carno

Damage
With 36 armor saddle.

Usual bow / stone arrow ~30 dmg
Cross bow / stone arrow ~ 50 dmg
Comp bow / stone arrow ~35 dmg
Longneck Rifle ~100 dmg

Usual bow / metal arrow ~cant be loaded
Cross bow / metal arrow ~ cant be loaded
Comp bow / metal arrow ~215 dmg.

Without saddle 36 armor .

Usual bow / stone arrow ~60 dmg
Cross bow / stone arrow ~ 105 dmg
Comp bow / stone arrow ~70 dmg
Longneck Rifle ~190 dmg

Usual bow / metal arrow ~cant be loaded
Cross bow / metal arrow ~ cant be loaded
Comp bow / metal arrow ~235 dmg.

Damage on Flak Armor 40 forti.

Head aim
Usual bow / stone arrow ~30 dmg
Comp bow / metal arrow ~190 dmg
Chest aim
Usual bow / stone arrow ~6-7 dmg
Comp bow / metal arrow ~75 dmg

Damage on Flak Armor 70 forti.

Head aim
Usual bow / stone arrow ~****** dmg
Comp bow / metal arrow ~165 dmg

Torpor effect

"I play/host on a modified unofficial server where our dino resistance is increase to 0.9 and their damage is 1.5 Shooting my own 141 - ish Trex. the torpor values are as follows (or headshots)
basic bow - 25~ torpor
Xbow - 45~ torpor
Compound bow- 35~ torpor"

For ppl who dont understand Torpor effect.
Amount of torpor on creature affected by - bow dmg + arrow pull power + creature air/land.
From damage list you can see that Comp Bow doing less dmg then CrossBow and more then Usual bow. So, after this, same will be with torpor effect.
CompBow doing less torpor then CrossBow but slight more then UsualBow.

My Opinion.
For 35 dmg it is way too expencive in both dmg result and duralibity. For 215 dmg it is still way too expencive becouse of duralibity and uneffectiveness in PVP.

I already posted this in one topic but i think it would be hard for some players to find this numbers, so i make one more topic.

Solving the unbalanced issue
(in my opinion ofcourse):
Personally i think cost shoudnt be lowered. BUT:
Just to raise the item duration from 50 shots to ~200-250 shots. it will at least became less expencive to shot with stone arrows, it wont much affekt metal arrows shooting since they are already too expecive and will add more realism and logical sence since *yeah this bow can shoot more then 300 arrows and not being broken.

If devs find my info wrong, please delete it, so we dont confuse ppl with wrong numbers (could happend with patch updates)

I think that they should make metal bolts for the crossbow. And the option to dip those bolts into narcotics for tranq bolts.

When i shot a pteronodon with the compound bow with a tranq arrow it raised the torpor up 400 i have no idea if this matters but my damage is 160 percent.

Do different dinos have different resistance cause i did the same test but on a carno and only did 52ish torpor?

But why would you want to? If you're tranquing things isn't doing additional damage bad?

your carno have a saddle equipped? metal arrows penetrate armor, stone and bullets do not.

the torpor effect came from - dmg from bow - arrow pull power - flyer/ground creature (flyers have x4 i think)

Test it on a player or a flying creature... Show people what the bow is designed for...

from my understanding melee dmg skill on your character only affects the RANGE the arrow flies, not the dmg it deals. the damage listed on the bow itself is the only multiplier to damage from arrows, and that is assuming you did a complete draw and not a partial draw.
