Cant work out what is my Herbivore dinos favourite berries as they keep changing preferences??

So I am getting confused with this I look at the guides and put what I think there favourite berry is according to the guide!

Say the steggosaurus it says it prefers mejoberries however my steggo just choose azulberry over the mejoberry when we were out harvesting for narco berries, My Trike seems to prefer Azulberries and my parasaur seems to prefer tinto berries when it says different in the guides?? Honestly its confusing cause it seems like I can't pinpoint there favourite berries as the preferences keep changing?? My dodos I know prefer mejo berries as I put different types in there inventories and the mejoberries go first but my steggo at least keeps changing preferences.

Any help here please??

Herbis always eat Mejo first, the berry they eat first isn't necessarily the best one to give them, the guides are probably giving you the right answer.

Their favourite during taming is mejo.. but they will choose a lesser berry in inv once tamed.. so if you have azuls they will eat those instead, allowing you to save all your mejo for taming.

Oh okay well I am normally giving them the best and what is there favourite so do all hervivores prefer mejo whilst taming?? I am curious about this?? and that is why my parasaur chose tinto berries cause they arent as good as mejo or azulberries hmm interesting so do all herbvores prefer mejo over the rest?? Guess when I put down feeding troughs once there pen is made I will just put a mix of berries in there

yes, all herbs while taming prefer mejo, after taming they will save thier prefered berry (mejoberry) for last!
