Isn't it a beautiful idea !!

Like think of it, you're playing ark and a yellow loot drop falls down fromm the heavens like a giant beam of christmas presents and when you open it your heart jumps with joy as you see it's an ascended flac chestplate. You put it on brag to your homies how bad ass you are and bam in your sleep they kill you out of jealousy, those wankers !!
Now you will most likely never find an ascended chestplate ever again lol

But ! if you were able to craft blueprint, using notes, berries and oil for ink. Then ! you could have crafted the blueprint for that chestplate and crafted it !!

Sorry but no, I prefer the blueprints to stay rare as that is what makes them so sought after and fought for, removing that and making them copyable nulls the point of them being rare.

I agree with SilvaDreams. Not to mention ascended stuff should be really powerful and I don't believe it should ever be craftable.

I like the idea. If you got a rare item and could make a blueprint from it, perhaps consuming the item as well (maybe you had to dissassemble it to make the BP?) then you could make more (remember they would still require insane amounts of materials to make).

Only way I could get onto that is if any items made from that blueprint had a sort of flag so blueprints couldn't be made from them or else it is just as bad as the OPs idea.

Could open up a new line of trade. And you are assuming ascended flak chests drop often on every server. They would still rarely, if ever drop. And the person who got it might not want to share or make a BP.

You actually can get the BPs, although not on official servers I do not believe. People have spawned them in and listed the material costs scaled up to that loot level. It's something on the order of 10s of thousands of each resource and you can't even fit a fraction of what is needed into the bench.
