What do you mean the pause menu doesn't work? Just hit the start button. The cursor can be moved with the left thumbstick. Although I'll admit the game unpauses itself upon entering the options or tribe menus.
You can also select items 5-10 by holding LB and hovering over the item of choice.
I think if we give the developers some time they'll eventually make customizable controls and the controller more robust to use. Like, being able to use the controller on the inventory menu without having to use the cursor. But I'm sure it's low on their priority list.
Playing this on the couch with my ps2 controller.
"Fortunately"" i'm not playing online because since i cannot play at thise time my dinos were starving to death!!!
A quickly patch to fix this please???
- default Y button is 'E' key, i'd prefer 'F' for quick inventory access. Quite a pain to display the wheel to access inventory or accidentally ride,start/stop fabricator, generator etc... is not pushed long enough
- inventory management : Yes it's lame, but I'm confident they will do something great in time
- quick access bar : No just no. 1,2,3,4 are just fine, there should be at least 5,6,7,8 with some other button pressed. This quick access wheel is just not useful at all
So for now I have my KB for quick bar > 4, F key, chat and my mouse for inventory. not ideal but works fine
Edit : 'B' button for reload, humm just never used it, I think it's some default UE4 setting
