If you're on foot trying to launch a Dimo, you'll probably still pick up Stones or Fiber. But if you're mounted, you can at least hit X to launch the Dimo.
But then you run into the problem that (if on follow and the Dimo returns after combat) you can't re-shoulder it without dismounting, looking around to locate the wildly circling Dimo, then jumping and hitting E to get it to re-perch on your shoulder, and then re-mounting your dino.
Annoying lengthy hassle that could be made much cooler by simply allowing X to recall the "most recently launched" Dimo to your shoulder. Or some other keybind.
It's a great example of the neat things that could be done in this game if people have separate keybinds, so stupidity doesn't happen.
Same problem here. Although I have loads of them I'm afraid of taking them anywhere because I usually just forget they're there (yes, I get preoccupied with different stuff a lot :)). I'd love a visual cue in first-person view, even just a tail slapping me in the face from time to time, just to remind me they're there. Or like mystique above here mentioned move the Dimo over to the arm instead of the shoulder and solve that problem alltogether whilst making it all the more immersive.
Still +1 for different keybinds !
It'd also be great if that same button would call them back when they aren't on your shoulder.
It is ANNOYING to keep jumping on my Bronto, just because i am so trained to use the E key to USE something. I want his inventory lol. And i know about the F key, i just can't get my head around that.
Agree entirely with the original suggestion.
