maybe bring a Dilo...
However, I have noticed a bug where insects can get stuck on/inside floor foundations. Once they are stuck, you can't hit them. Probably the game thinks that they are on the opposite side of the floor, and thus the floor hitbox is between you and the insect.
Also, when I harvest an ant, I usually kneel down (pressing C) to be able to gather from them. If I stand up while harvesting, nothing happens when I hit the dead ant body.
A few bugs with the bugs, but hopefully fixed soon.
If you encounter a basic 2-warrior-3-drone pack - they are pathetic even with a primitive spear and basic cloth.
But if you stumble upon dilos killing worker ants - things immidiatelly turn violent as a swarm of 6-7 warriors (which are neutral even to dilos killing workers!) jumps on you out of no where tearing you out of stamina in seconds. Even worse - killing your mount by producing like 5-10 bites per second which you can`t be able to survive for too long to run or kill the bugs (raptors/paras/carnos/saber specific issue).
We need a flamer to deal with these pests :)
Pike harvests pretty effectively without delays and needless aiming. Though amounts of loot are much lower (like 1-3 chitin and some meat per worker).
no offense, but they are pretty easy to kill, they just require different tactics to other animals to kill, as more animals are released, im hoping they too will require different tricks to kill them, rather than just sprinting around spamming the mouse button
