Is there a maximum value for this? 5.0 doesn't seem to be working.

The higher the number, the slower the respawn. You have to set it lower to reduce the respawn period.

I set mine to 100 because I essentially want to prevent them from respawning at all, but have noticed that lately some plants are appearing where I have built structures. Just now I loaded my game and a huge boulder was in the middle of my house. It shouldn't have respawned there at all, let alone before a certain time.
