Prime Berry - Give us a reason to grow normal berries!
Since there has been a lot of demand for a 'prime' version for berries, why not make it something you only can grow? Every herbivore will get their own favourite berry (for instance maybe stego will like azul the most and trike will like tinto etc, instead of mejo dominating everything).

In addition, when you grow these berries in crop plots, you have a chance of getting 'large' version of those berries!

The large (prime) berries could function for herbivores as prime meat does for carnivores.

I think this would be a great way of introducing a prime berry for herbivores, because it will also make the small crop plots much more useful (since they are pretty useless right now).

So anyone got thoughts on this? Should a 'prime' berry be grown or found? :)

They're already working on a prime version of taming for herbivores.

Whilst it hasnt been officially announced (that I've seen) they have been slowly introducing on the down low berry preferences, they don't always go for mejo now. Also wasn't long grass supposed to be the prime originally? it was rumoured to be for a while, though didn't seem to work in game.

They announced in the last Ark Digest that they've been working on it. I would say that's pretty official.

I really don't see why they can't use longgrass, citronal etc for that. Since it dosen't grow in the wild you have to make a crop for it etc. It'll be more balanced than a spesific berry, as you can mow through 1000's of bushes within minutes with a trike/stego etc...

Yes, I know that, that's why I made this post. It isn't about having or not having a prime berry in the game. It's about how it could be implemented. That it should be grown rather than simply harvested by chance from normal foilage. Small Crop Plots would finally have a place in the game.

Crop Plots already have a place in the game with the addition of kibbles. You have to grow the 4 seeded plants for them. I still think planting narcoberries is worth it also. 300 berries for literally 30 seconds of work? Sign me up

You cannot grow the vegetables in small crop plots. If you were able to get a prime version of a berry when growing one, then growing azulberries, amarberries, tintoberries and mejoberries would be a thing! (In addition to narcoberries).
