Light leakage from base.
I was wondering if there's anything that can be done (or if it's planned) to stop the light from fires getting past the base walls. It's quite a beacon to other players at night especially if you're trying to hide your base :(. Surely light cannot penetrate metal?

Not a game breaking issue I know but certainly a tactical one.

Flame away :).

+1 It bothers me as well, although thatch should probably radiate some light.

as should a little light escape from wood, but when you get to stone and metal then yeah it should be blocked.

With a sandbox type game where player objects aren't a static predetermined thing in the world... it's extremely hard to render light multiple times to create that lighting situation WITHOUT completely killing framerates.

So much extra rendering would have to take place to fix that.

Until there is a new method to approach diffuse lighting in games, this will most likely always be a 'light-leak' problem.

Argh I figured there must be a reason behind it. Such a shame. Thank you.
