Info on transponders and trackers

They are a little expensive, but once you make them you shouldn't need many more.

You only "need" one transponder tracker, but you may want to have more. You need a transponder for as many dino's as you want to track.

-Putting it on yourself: Have transponder on you and simply equip the transponder. It should put a tracker on you, so you can find your body. Then hit P.

-Putting it on others. With the tracker in your hand, when next to the person / creature use the left mouse button, it will throw the transponder.

Once all are placed with tracker in hand hit the right mouse button. Names will pop up the direction the tracked animal or animals is you have many transponders out. You will also get a range. You can only use the tracker about once every 10 seconds.

So you probably want to carry one tracker for finding critters. You also probably want to have a couple at place you may respawn to find your body.

The only problems that I see is if you have too many transponders out they could clutter and block each other. You also can't use them mounted, which means you can't track while flying.

Also mad disappointed they arent reusable. Makes it real expensive for tracking players.

The transponder is reusable. But yea the trackers are not. I need to find somebody to test that if I track them and they die, now I can find their body and if the tracker is still there.

Odd. I just had one on myself and killed myself, and I could not use it. Anybody had luck?

so the more expensive one of the two is the one you need multiple of to track each dinos???? and the cheap one you only need one, If I undertand correctly

No the cheaper is what you put on the dino's. The tracker is more expensive.

Everytime I try to left click with the Transponder in my hand to equip it to my dino, it keeps saying that no creatures are nearby. I have tried both tamed creatures, and untamed. All it says is "No creature nearby to attach to"
Why is this happening?

I would see the transponder being the most expensive one as you really need only one. The tracker should be much less expensive.

the transponder tracker not being reusable might be a bug because that just completely stupid to make new one everytime

Oops maybe I did read it wrong but the one that we put on Dino should be less expensive. What lvl you have to be to have access to those items.

The transponder tracker (what you hold in your hand) is more expensive. The transponder (what sends the signal) is cheaper.

Nikea, maybe move closer? Big dino's you may need to get near their center.
