Flyers keep freaking out
I'm sure it's a well known issue, but I'll put my experience out there. Just had my Pteranodon chase a Dimorphodon to God knows where, and now I can't get him back. He was set to neutral when I got attacked. I called him off to try to keep him from flying away, but I watched him chase the damn thing upwards until he disappeared. I then took the Argentavis up as high as I could to find it... and then all around the immediate vicinity. No luck. So far those little things can go straight to hell, right along with sabertooths. Just had my worst taming session ever after losing my Ptera, got thrown down a cliff to a t-rex I was shooting at by a damn ninja sabertooth, which then proceeded to kill my friend's bird, and finally ate the bird I had been taming for the past 3 hours. Luckily I neutralized it and the Rex with my Carno and called it a night. A ♥♥♥♥♥♥, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ night.

As for a solution, it would be nice to have a max radius tamed dinos are allowed to pursue. Then they need to get the hell back to their owner. If they weren't following before, they should return to the nearest tribe-owned structure.

You just played badly. Whistle all passive then all join and your bird would have been saved.

Sorry for your loss.

+1 storm :s
Never set your ptera or your dolphin in neutral, they're not fighters, they're cowards...

I did that. I forgot to mention I whistled all follow. But even then, if they're getting attacked, they will defend themselves until the attacker is dead... which he did. Only thing is, he couldn't even touch the dimorphodon as fast as it was. And I always set birds to neutral, or else they are just sitting ducks. Dolphins are different. I just lock them up or try not to leave them unguarded more than a few seconds.
