Dimorphodon taming
I haven;t had a chance to try to tame one yet. Anything different I should know before going to tackle one of these?

Bring lots of narcs and meat.
Saint Jul 19, 2015 @ 5:37am
seems to take alot of tranq arows to bring them down, and torpor goes fast, other than that tame time about the same as a dilo.

They're fast tames like scorpions, and have very low torpor like pteras. Pretty easy tame overall.
Probably want to wait until hitbox is fixed, otherwise you might be wasting tons of tranq arrows without ever knocking it out.

Thanks all, first one I saw was pure white. Looks like it's made of ivory. I still see it flying around my base. If it's still around when I log on today I am going to try and tame it.

Note: Dimos are very strong when tame

Their torpor degrades fast, a level 60 takes about an hour (with just meat), you need to shoot slightly in front of their movements to hit them.

Low levels take only 3-5 arrows, high take upwards of 30

Hit detection seems to have a distance problem. If you try to hit it from too far away neither the narc arrows seems to effect torp or the Dimorphodon even reacting to the hit.

Get close, hit it once, if it reacts and attacks you, you're on to a winner and 2 more narc arrows spaced 10 secs apart will knock it out. Just be aware they actually do a suprising amount of damage and can shred armour quickly.

Note: If you take too long to get another hit on it, it seems to lose interest in you and flies away causing you to start the process again.

They make great guards against soldier ant attacks when set in follow if you're riding Ptera's or Argies.

Agreed, great job on the looks, colours and animation on these by the Devs.

I have five so far and am going to build an aviary for them lol

K, just did a level 5 to break the ice so to speak. It took 2 tranq arrows and about 20 minutes(mighta been a bit more) with one raw prime and the rest regualr meat. This was on unofficial where everything pretty much hits where it's supposed to.

Gonna try a higher one now, hopefully survive it's attack if it gets to me...
