Kibble vs Mejoberry for Herbivores
Hey all,

We all know that a non-favourite kibble is 40% better than raw meat, and the favourite kibble is as strong as the old prime meat.

But how does a non-correct kibble fare against mejoberries for a herbivore?

Prime meat is as strong as it always was.... Favorite Kibble is 40% faster not "non-favorite"

According to the patch notes, it's only 70% of what it was before.

* Put all meats taming speeds/values exactly where they originally were. Made Kibbles 40% faster for Taming than Raw Meat ever was, and it's got SUPER AFFINITY (if you use the right kind of Kibble for your Dino -- for example Raw Prime Meat may net you a 70% effective tame now, whereas using the right Kibble can get you close to 100%!). May continue to buff Kibble, but let's take it one step at a time with seeing how useful it is now :)

Kibbles 40% faster than raw meat.
Raw Prime Meat is 70%.
Super affinity kibble is 100%.

But how does a normal kibble rate compared to mejoberries?

You're reading it wrong. Using ALL prime meat MIGHT get you a 70% taming affinity, using kibble can get you close to 100%. Prime is back at 100% effectiveness when it comes to taming speed, but its not as good as favorite kibble when it comes to affinity.

So how fast is a kibble in taming herbivores, compared to a mejoberry? Does anyone know?
Peter Pan Jul 19, 2015 @ 8:41am
No one knows? I plan to use it to tame those herbivores that take a long time like the ankylo and mammoth.

I believe using the non favorite kibble is very inefficient, and you lose a lot of taming effectiveness. So if you want to use kibble for herbivores, make sure it is their favorite.

Do you have more data? I don't want to believe I made a lot of dodo kibble for nothing...

Looks like I have to test it out myself.

Yeah the cheatsheet has the same information the wiki.

But both don't tell you how effective a dodo kibble is on a herbivore, compared to mejoberry.

Does a dodo kibble tame a herbivore faster, or is it still better to use mejoberry?

If it can tame a herbivore faster, I would use it on an ankylo or mammoth.
If no, I prefer to use it for my pteranodon.

Tried parasaur kibble on dodo's - effect is pretty weak. They prefer berries rather than random kibble. The same goes for dodo kibble used on spino and argentavis - both prefer to eat raw meat instead of that kibble.

There is a calculator on game`s wiki. It now supports kibbles. It also shows preffered kibbles and some 'kibble soup' for herbies.

Unfavored kibble is a waste on herbivores. Berries or favorite kibble only. If you can get up enough kibble though, it tames them waaaaaayyyyy faster. It'll take alot of kibble for higher level dinos though.

obtaining the kibbles is a pain though as dino eggs dont spawn as often as dodo eggs do. if only they did :'(

Dodo kibble is used for the dolphins.

I still haven't figured out what the turtle kibble is used on though.
