Yeah obviously it can take less if the Pin is in the lesser combo's... The devs are increasing the timer though so even now the Macro is pretty pointless.

I still crack codes by using the most common used ones.

I myself use a few different Pins throughout my base too

You can't use a macro unless u want the macro to run for 33 hours. There is a ninja cooldown timer after failed pin attempts

So it takes 10 seconds to cooldown after each wrong entry... It takes 2 seconds~ to allow e to be pressed, the dialog opening and inputting 4 digits...

So 10000 codes at 12 seconds each = 120000 seconds / 60 / 60 = 33 hours
That is assuming you needed to enter 10k codes to crack the pin. Using a pool of the most common 50 pin codes used via a number of websites that have analyzed this kind of thing, you can probably crack a high number of bases in less than 10 minutes even with the current cooldown timer.

That is user stupidity using such easy combo's and using the same pin throughout the base, nothing can stop that other than the user becoming wise. Macro isn't even needed in this way

Just make vault locked by default. Like the doors and so on.

The pin is fine as long as you get locked out after failed attempts. it would take months to years to crack a pin if you keep increasing the delay on consecutive fails.
didn't the first iphones have something similar? i remember locking my friends old Iphone for a week (3Gs or early) because it would keep exetending the time to were you could re enter the pin

Read the whole thing, you haven't said anything of value. Secondhand information is no information. Citation of this dev response, or else you've contributed nothing but opinions.

Besides, I've seen and experienced enough bullsh*t from these chinese players that I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they cheated to get into pin locked areas, too. Aimbots, fly hacks, noclipping, etc.

It's disgusting the lengths these people will go to just to cheat and ruin your fun.

There you are, and in case you're too lazy to click a link:

Now who has the "second hand information"?

1: That link you provided was not the first link you gave, so don't act like it was in my face the whole time like you're trying to re-write what an idiot you were.

2: Nobody has secondhand infos now. Not anymore, now that you've actually bothered to cite a credible source. Was that so hard? Poor baby.

I set my password as 0000, its their fault that they cracked it, ban them.

My LG prob has the best.. 10 tries and it wipes the phone.. Oh wait.. if I screw up the code because the screen is counting each number as a different entry, or pocked swipe it wrong not paying attention, I get to rebuild my phone. That really sucks.

Still trying after all those beat-downs, eh?

Then you'll also know if it really is someone 'hacking' the chest or just one of your tribe members grabbing everything up, moving it off to a hidden location in prepping to leave your tribe later (does happen).

Just add a default lock state like the doors to the chests and vault, problem solved.

JAT replied in another post about PvE Robberies that they are looking into the overall issue further.

"Beat down"

Try to keep up with the logic.

"Something is so because I said so"

No. How about you provide a credible link to a credible source so people can take you seriously?

But it's funny how eager you are to jump on the bandwagon, considering that, you know, I'm right. He didn't cite a source, he merely claimed it to be so.

if you're going to try and put me down, at least make sure you have the ammunition to do it, or else you look like a complete idiot.

Funny thing about people so stuck on themselves they can't see anything else.. is you can get them to start eating their own tail by saying almost nothing.

If you say so, bro. You'll have a valid point someday, just not today. Or the last few months.

Don't matter anyway when a person can't see through the fog of their own arrogance. You remind me of this kid I went to school with waaayyyy back in the day. He was so socially awkward and inept that the ONLY way he knew to initiate social interaction was to attack people. He got beat up constantly just because he was lonely and the school just kept him in special classes. Is your name Scott?

Solution to pin code macro users can be an easy one: allow pin code input only with mouse (clicking on screen key-pad) and randomize key-pad layout on every attempt.

Wont help against network-packet-level macro programs tho.
