A) ichthys are marine reptiles, not mammals like Dolphins. And they laid eggs. Correction: they birthed live young.
B) some sharks do lay eggs, others have live births.

Yeah they do. Dodos, paras, trikes, pteranodons, tyrannosaurs, and brontos all lays eggs so far as I have seen, and there might be more too.
