Since kibbles are eaten for 270 food, does that mean you need about 5.5 times less kibbles than raw prime before counting 40% faster speed?
Kibble = 270 food, prime = 50 food. Lets say a dino needs 55 raw primes to be fully tamed, does that mean that, given kibbles tame 40% faster, you are going to need 55/5,5*0,6= 6.6 ~ 7 kibbles instead of 55 raw primes?

not according to taming calcualtor based on devkit data http://www.ark-survival.net/en/taming-calculator/

This I would also love to know.

i don't think it's accurate, since it only counts in 40% speed increase. That also contradicts the fact a level 75 ichty is tamed with just 12 dodo kibbles ( http://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/535150948593151594/ ), guess i'm gonna test it on raptor soon enough since parasaur eggs are abundant.

do let us know.. I cant even produce enough prime meat jerky.. left 30 primes over night in fride with oil and sparkpowder, didnt get any new jerky, and all prime is gone, with some oil and sparkpowder.. not sure if a bug or someone took it during night..

Yesterday we tamed a level 87 trex, using (cheated) pulmo kibbles after he reached about 50% taming (because we wanted to try the new system and go to bed).

First observation: He will eat (prime)meat when he has lost 50 food, he will eat kibbles when he's lost 100 food (not 500 and not 270). He ate 8 kibbles until he was tamed, so 15-20 kibbles might be a good guess for a full tame.

The fridge does not produce jerky, only the preserving bin does this.

I would also love to know this. The calculator is obviously off (checked the taming time for a level 90 anky, needed 550 mejo and 8:30 to take, or 110 kibble and 2:45 to tame. Since kibble takes up I times more food than berries [30 vs 270] it would take longer to eat 110 kibble than 550 berries, yet it would take in 1/3 of the time). Now, if it would actually only need llike 20 kibble that would be amazing and more than worth making the kibble for (granted 110 kibble to save 6 hours on a take isn't the worst trade in the world either).

i'd guess it depends on the eggs the kibble is made of, the bigger the egg the more food it restores but that's just speculation, still not enough eggs, farming para and stego eggs atm.

It would take you 60 hoursto craft 110 of one species kibbles.. , you could tame ankylo half afk, checking topor every 15-20 mins, without any effortneeded to create kibles, yes it willend up with 30~ efficiency, but crafting 110 is tad hard

So my question is (in case someone has already confirmed) does the "wrong" kibble give better taming times/efficiency than prime meat for a rex? Dodo kibble worse/better than prime? In other words with the rarity of scorp eggs, would it be better to tame with say a dodo kibble vs prime meat?

i have 10 preserv bins that are constantly crafting jerky so it's much faster.

And you only need to be loony enough to get the prime, cook it, and throw it in a pres bin. This method is better for people who can't be on for long spurts. With the devs restoring the other taming methods back to normal, this kibble method does fit what the devs and us wanted (more prep for sshorter tames), especially for herbivores

I tamed a high level dino last night, I didn't really pay attention to how much food was restored per kibble right after I starved it...but after that it was going down to -80 food and then eating one. Ignored prime meat even when it had 50 food deficit and prime was in inventory. I checked several different locations to confirm i was using the correct kibble.

Is it only the higher amount of food per kibble when said dino is starved first? Does anyone know at what point the taming bar starts to drop after the dino is out of food? I assumed it was if it passed 50 food deficit...if this is the case then feeding with kibble may become less valuable after the dino hits max food again.

Hope this makes sense! Also, mid 80s for level, finished right at 90%
