Ark Survival not suitable for people who have jobs

I personally found ark survival evolved to be very fun for the first 3 days, then after the first few days no matter what if i left my game for work or to go to bed not only would all of my dinos be killed but all my items taken aswell, this continued for about two weeks as i just brushed it off as nothing, but now it is beyond a joke.

Without being recruted into a mass tribe i do not see how you can keep a presence in the game or just something to come back too when you get back from work, i personally have spent over 100 hours in the game with a grand result of no base and no dinosaurs.

Yes i understand it is a hard game, however my mates and i have just about lost interest in the game due to the culture of the game. 'if you snooze, you loose'

I enjoy the idea of this game but i don't enjoy having to sink hundreds of hours into building a base and taming dinosaurs to have someone who is online as you are offline destroy your entire compound

So not true coz those rates also apply to those with a lot of time meaning they will have way more and better bases/dinos(and a hell lot more c4,bazooka etc) than you ever will

Lol I know people like your father (my mother) we call them workaholics. And his attitude isn't bad...for him. But we've gotta be our own person/people.

+1 for finding a private server.
Might be worth looking into one of the many large gaming guilds aimed at those who work or are otherwise time poor. They tend to have interesting server setups and usually multiple servers dedicated to things like PvPvE, PvE or other setups like being timezone restricted.

Plus you get all the other benefits of being in a large guild like a TS/vent/Mumble server, new people to play other games with etc.

Hope you get to enjoy some more time in this game... I think Ark is going to be one of the top games of the year. Which is a strange thought for an early access title.

But the people who have alot of time are going to spend it anywhere they feelis most fun. At least on those servers, your recovery time after losing stuff is drastically reduced.

I play on a pve/pvp server with low pop and helpful admins without offline raiding. should you accept the friend request i would be happy to talk to you about it

I use this formula 1 hour to play per day, you need to look for a server that is 36x rates. 2 hours to play per day you look for a server that has 18x rates. 3 hours to play per day you look for a server with 12x rates. 6 hours to play per day you look for a server with 6x rates. Anything higher than 6 hours, just go Official.

Currently I'm doing full time work + masters degree full time preparing for PhD and I play 1 hour a day on a 50x server.
