Upgrade wood foundation to stone?
Can i overlay a stone foundation over a wood foundation to upgrade the placement without destroying stuff that is atop the wood foundation?

So far from wood to metal (should be the same) only thing that got destroyed was lamps and fridge/aircon. nothing else go destroyed.

I lost few stuff from upgrading wood to stone a few patches ago. Not sure if its fixed.

few patches ago I lost cooking pot and storage box/cabinets when upgrading from wood to stone.

It's fixed since long ago.

Yup, wood to stone, all stuff survived (pestle, storage boxes, forge, cooking pot, smithy)

I did a total upgrade from wood to stone. I had no problems with any of the foundations. Only issue I ran into was when it come to walls behind my fridge and fabricator. As the stone walls are thicker and my placement of the objects were close to the wall. I got the obstructed message. Once I took down the fridge etc.. I had no issues. Also you may have issues with wiring in foundation pieces. But thats no big thing.

obstruction shiuld have been fixed with 196, we just converted fully to stone, no losses.

you can if you are absolutely sure everything you built was after lets say patch 192. If you built stuff before that patch it will most likely be destroyed when replacing the foundation.

I can confirm this first hand. I lost old bookshelves but not a "new" pedestal when upgrading to stone last week on an official EU PVE server. Best to unload anything of value before attempting an upgrade.
