Mosasaur Oxygen Question
So I read about this little article here
http://ark.gamepedia.com/Mosasaurus

and as excited as I am to have more big marine reptiles joining the fun, the oxygen stat does confuse me a bit. Given how all animals with an oxygen stat bob up at the surface when in water, how is this going to work with the Mosasaur? If it's not bobbing up, all the wild ones are going to be drowning constantly; and if it is implemented it's honestly going to kill the 'deep water super predator' description and look pretty ridiculous.

Actual air breathers like the plesiosaur, ichthyosaurus, sarcosuchus, and carbonemys have no oxygen stat and can get along just fine.

So how exactly is this going to work? Or is it just the dossier being inaccurate to gameplay and it not having an oxygen stat like everything else in the water? Perhaps it can have a lung capacity like a sperm whale and just can hold its breath so long an oxygen stat is redundant and doesn't exist.

Or maybe implement a behavior change to where animals with an oxygen stat can dive again, but not with auto-ascend once they reach a low threshold like 12.5% oxygen left?

Yeah, I hope they just LOL at the design and make it a hybrid-breather like the Sarco. Even if it can hold its breath for 8 hours, it will still drown/spazz out while you are logged off.

The Plesiosaur is the same way, so I'd imagine they'd just make oxygen a null point for it.

Dont worry its just favour text for the dossier. The other air breathing water animals plesio Sarco Turtle Ichthy etc dont have an oxygen stat.

Lol I can see this being programmed in though. Eventually they'll use a reverse oxy stat for fish where they dive under water to breath. Possibly programming the mosa so it has to "breath both" wouldl solve the issue.
