Wait what?

So you need to tame and get a sarco to drop eggs to tame a Stego?
You need to tame and get a Carno to drop eggs to tame a trike!?
Parasaur for a Raptor!?

I think these priorities are WAY f'ed up if this is true.

Just made some in-game and did not need a recipe. Extremely dissapointed to see just one kibble come from the Bronto Egg recipe, however. :(

Honestly. I'm just assuming that my list is going to get outdated very fast as a bunch of patches come along.

No, you don't need to. You're choosing to because it's faster and incredibly beneficial for the taming efficiency. You could stick to prime meat for the carnivores if you wish as it's still immensely better than raw meat. (At least after the patch in an hour.)

You can find eggs from wild creatures, it just aggros all of that particular type in a nearby radius as soon as you loot it.

Excellent info. Does anyone know how many kibble are required for taming?
Mike Loeven Jul 14, 2015 @ 6:29am
Does anyone know if youl find eggs laying around in the wild or do they only come from tamed and mated pairs ?
Sinistrem Jul 14, 2015 @ 6:31am
what happens when you feed the wrong kibble? is it as good as raw prime? cooked prime?

From my understanding it's going to replace Raw Prime Meat in effectiveness (with the upcoming 186.1 patch) but also work for some herbivores and without the quick spoil time.

Watermelons (stego eggs) litter the mountains, it's like they spawn regardless of stegos (don't seem to aggro any nearby neither)

You can definately find them in the wild. Unless they changed that literally this patch and you can't anymore.

yup good luck getting a bronto egg when it's spawned in the middle of a pack of 6 brontos ...
Also wild dinos aggro on you even when you're collecting eggs laid by your own tames dinos inside your closed base without windows (ie they didn't see you obviously and it's not their egg or their packmate/herdamte egg). If your base is wood say good bye to it if it's a trike egg and aggro seems to last forecver or at least very very long.
If you travel with a "freshly" gathered egg in your inventory dinos will magically know what you did 200 meter away and and aggro

Also even with the patch kibble won't be more efficient than prime met was before so we don't gain anything timewise from before patch 185. Kibble may last longer in inventory but is just as complicated to gather in sufficient quantities than prime meat... some even require prime meat so wht's even the point ?

Very disapointed hope they re-balance this very quickly. Kibble should be 150% what prime meat was before patch 186, prime meat shouldn't change and from bigg eggs like bronto we should be able to make more than 1 kibble.

Egg gathering aggro should be reworked too, what's the point to take the time an effort to have a mated pair of brontos to gather eggs if all wild brontos in the neighborhood aggro on you anyway ?

I think Lorde is working on finding out the recipes. I'm just trying to figure out each dinos prefered kibble.
