Updating my Server???

So I cannot for some reason figure out how to simply update my ARK server using the SteamCMD. Could someone help me out with this?

Use the same steps you did to set it up to begin with.

Use ark server manager.... click on server and server advertisement sub forum here in ARK forum. Then click on the stickied server post. A tiny bit down you will find link to said server manager.

That looks like its specific to Linux, might want to link him the windows one.

Okay thank you! I have the ark server manager but for some reason the settings won't work like amount of players and such but the update thing does work I just forgot. Thanks again!

If your settings are not working your doing something wrong. Are you clicking on the save button when making a setting change before you start your server?

Well no worrys on the settings, I can change them just fine manually, the only thing I needed was updating and it seems to work fine for that. Thank you! :)

Just FYI, thats a little shell script for updating using SteamCMD (Linux; but the command line paramters should also apply to Windows AFAIK)

#!/bin/bash

/home/steam/SteamClient/steamcmd.sh +login anonymous +force_install_dir /home/steam/ArkDedicated/ +app_update 376030 validate +quit

force_install_dir c:\arkServer (ofcourse change your directory to match)

app_update 346110

I still can't get the server to update. I am trying to update it from 185.3 to 186.3 and I cannot get it to work. The ARK server manager won't work and the commands won't work. The commands I am using in the Steam CMD are as follows:
>login (credentials)
>force_install_dir C:arkgame\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ (Win64 is where I have the server.bat)
>app_update 346110 validate

It then does a whole update thing and says that it updated but then when I start the server it says it is in 185.3 not 186.3.
