can my macbook pro run this game ?

hey i was just wondering if my macbook pro 2014 with 13inch retina display would be able to run ark i really want the game but i dont wanna waste my money on something i cant play can someone tell me if its possible to play this game even on low settings just run the game smooth

imac 27 inch latest 2015 model, I must say its expensive but I can run the game on epic and not lose frames, but I didn't buy the imac for gaming specifically so I guess its just win- win for me although its is expensive. so I must say no you wont run the game on a mac book pro but an imac you can.

It really pisses me off that so called "experts" rag on Mac's performance.

I'm yet to find a game my Retina with the Machine update won't run on full spec at anything less then 60fps, which is about the best fps I get out of my PS4 as a dedicated gaming console and that's while letting Premiere render in the background.

On a laptop!!

I am a film maker and animator and the only people I know in my industry that use PC's are the ones that aren't good enough to be able to afford to buy a Mac or those that want to build render engines with multiple PC's in order to do work that no stand alone computer could do and that's only because it's cheaper and easier to interface then a Mac. If they could choose to they would buy multiple Mac's.

I'm afraid your's won't run it well but isn't because it's a Mac. It's because it's an older Mac and this is a new game.

Don't feel bad though. I can promise you that someone with 2014 tech in their hackingtosh isn't having the best experience either.

I'm sorry but buying a specked Golf GTI is still buying a Golf GTI even if it can and does perform like an entry level Porshe.

The thing is though... It isn't and never will be a Porshe.

People say they could build a better PC for half the price and I know that you can but can you build a better laptop?

I know having worked frustratingly with the likes of so called top spec PC laptops that you can't!

I'm sorry for having to stand up for the Mac man but I'm tired of gamers talking about how PC is the preferred platform for animaters.

It isn't and neither do we all dream about the PC we will all own one day!?

We buy Mac's for ridiculous prices because they deliver.

So what if it cost me a fortune!

If I can afford to buy a Porshe I'm going to buy a Porshe, not a Volkswagen with a specced out engine which I pretend is anything other then that.
