Carnos can carry a good bit of weight, so make decent mules, Raptors don't.
Carno can kill most anything, well at least tamed ones with saddle. Even without saddle.
T-rex is better at the above but also is highly annoying as a follow mule compared
to Carno who is smaller , and doesn't go spastic (edit, ;you got to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me, S P A S T I C is filtered on STeam. ♥♥♥♥ you PC ♥♥♥♥♥ in the world till your dead))
into sprint run mode which is what
the T-rex tends to do on follow.
T-rex as a mount is great though. better at mule load if used for mount as they
can carry much more weight when trained.
You can have a series of Carno pack mules on auto follow and be well off.
GO Carno.
If it's just about PvE then half a dozen mate boosted dilo will kill anything that attacks you lol. Tamed dinos are super strong with default server settings (regardless of difficulty/level scale setting, I mean in terms of not modifying the tamed dino resistance/attack values significantly), so personally it becomes about mobility/utility/convenience.
And in PvP it doesn't matter because they'll just kill your dinos through their choice of abuses like the clipping or aggroing until they run into the sea.
