How much damage do rockets do?

Playing on a server with normal rules to my knowledge. We 'had' a metal base, and a guy was hitting our metal walls doing almost 3k damage per rocket, and doing that to multiple walls at once with splash damage.

Just curious if that is normal damage for rockets? I mean, 3 rockets almost completely destroys 2 sections of walls, and the 4th one finishes both sections of walls.
