My mammoth would love that
They do need to diversify the preferred berries like you said, but it still makes no difference if you only need 1 specific type of berry. I don't see why it would upset the balance of narcoberries if you still end up with the same amount. Also, I think you can easily compare gathering food in a dinosaur world to going to a grocery store in real life, that's what analogies are for.
Sure, that is an option...if you don't mind spending 20x the amount of time to accomplish the same thing.
I'll take it.
I think it would make the most sense if each type of berry came from a specific type of plant. I would bet that they are ultimately planning to do this, but at this stage in the game's development it was probably just easier to make every plant deliver the same mix of berries to ensure a good distribution without having to pay too much attention to where the various plants are spawning. It could also be that they are planning to add additional types of berries or other plant products later on and they want to get all of them in the game before assigning specific plant models to each one.
Well, its a game, after all. Games have rules to help balance things out and create competition. PC Survival games are very far from being realistic.
I mean, really.. someone on a deserted island, building an electric generator and fabricator out of ♥♥♥♥ that he looted from hitting boulders with a pickaxe? Yeah right. Lol. Most people couldn't build their own electric generator and fabricator out of parts that they bought on EBay.
The best survivalists in the world couldn't even come close to doing that in the wild. They even have trouble building lean-to shelters and getting a fire going sometimes, while maintaining their caloric intake/outtake balance. (Bear Grylls and Les Stroud)
Or taming an animal by forcing meat and narcotics down its throat while its unconscious from being punched? Lol.
Its a game. Just enjoy it.
Yep, it's now about 1k a day for the small plots.
True, but in every other game I've played where you harvest plant products you can identify the specific plant that's going to give a particular product.
(Also, compared to Les Stroud, Bear Grylls is just a survival poser.
Yeah, that is exactly what I am guessing is going to be their ultimate plan. I think they just went with the quick and dirty, but temporary, option of having every plant return the same balance of berries to make it easier for them to adjust the balance while the game is still undergoing so many changes.
