Dear Devs, please don't ever change the offline/sleep feature.

It is the vocal minority that want this removed, and they should not be listened to, just because they throw their toys across the room. Their real problem is that they don't understand.

They say that it is unfair. I think it is the most fair mechanic you could have.

It allows smaller, organised groups to get the jump on larger groups who need alot more organisation. It is effectively tactical night ops, and it is realistic, which is what this game is supposed to be as best as it can be, a realistic survival game.

If the ignorant babies get their way, and people are logged off, with their buildings untouchable then their would be no counter-play to groups that just log on, raid a base then log off. There could be no retaliation, and it would be abused. Then the same people would complain about that and demand nerfs left-right and center.

Furthermore, the counter-play to being raided while sleeping is to build a better base with better defenses. They will be bringing out new types of things to defend with and traps, but even now, it is completely possible.

If you are building a silly wood shack and picket fences for your dinos, then you should well and truly expect to have nothing when you come back on a PVP server. If you want to play house, go to PVE. They will eventually bring out a tribe war feature for PVE, and if you still complain after that, then you are the type of person who only uses the "PVP IS UNFAIR" card when you are on the wrong end of the stick.

There are plenty of people who never lose their stuff while offline, and that is because they build something desinged to last. You should leanr how to aswell.

I know I will have heaps of people frothing and the mouth and smashing their keyboards ready to start calling me all types of names, but try to keep this civil, as I have.

PVS is not PVP. I dont care either way as Im a Rust person. But dont call it PVP it is not. If you have to raid people when their off line ya just suck at the game in general.

Agreed. The only time I have problems logging out is when I'm stupidly exposed. It can be a bit annoying if you play like an idiot and don't join a tribe on landing, but here are a few tips.

Find a nice, quiet spot, deep in the woods. I'm told that southside is less punishing on a PVE basis, do you might want to start there.

When you log out, make a hut in the middle of the woods... as dense of an area as you can find. When you wake up, just go ahead and trash it since you'll be unlikely to find it again later if you aren't super familiar with the area.

Trees versus players, structures versus dinos. Don't let other players see you, and if they do just leg it and lose them in the woods. Only for dinos do you bother using stand-and-fight/defend methods.

Its PVS pure and Simple. Like I said if you have to raid offline tribes you suck at the game in General. Vulnerable lol defenseless

Those words are absolutely meaningless in nature. PVS just means player versus another player who didn't hide or fortify well enough. Survival of the fittest.

Midnight raids are a fact of life. Civilizations upon civilizations, war after war after war since time immemorial this tactic has been used. Ambushes, mind games, etc.

Frankly I think putting people down for playing smart and using low-risk, high reward methods is delusionally unrealistic and downright pathetic.

Nope I say PVP is when other people cant counter what your doing. PVS is what you like. No Skill in blowing things up not one bit of skill.

I wouldn't remove it Id just let the PVS players hug each other on servers and rename them PVS Servers. Then Make new Form of real PVP servers. When the Battle PVE servers come out the PVS players will be a Lonely Bunch either way. Theres more people with a real life then there is that dont. PVS is for the unemployed and Children.

At the very least replace it with an AI that acts like a character when being attacked in its sleep.
