Stop following?
My friend tamed a turtle last night and I took it for a test ride. It had a lot more options when I told it to follow me. Now the only option I have is to ride it. I wanted to use it for gathering resources but I can't figure that out nor can I figure out to make it stop following me. Someone help please.

You're approaching it from the wrong direction, or you're not close enough to the turtle. Try approaching it from the side, and get as close as possible. Sometimes from directly in front of or behind my raptor, the options in the radial menu will be limited to "ride" or "inventory." You should also make sure you know your whistle bindings (the "all" whistles work as an AOE, and the "You" whistles require you to be aiming directly at your target and have their information displaying (the panel with the creature face, stats, etc. showing, not just the name.)

Easiest targeting I've found for the extended options on most dinos is to get right up close to it, look at its feet, and press and hold the E key. Not looking at its body or head seems to do the trick!

EDIT: Also, gathering resources is the attack command, so make sure nothing else is too close when you try it! If you want it to stop following you (these are in the Options menu that lists all the keybindings, by the way), hit the "U" key. If you want it to follow again, look at it, hit the "T" key, and make sure it says "following [your character name]" to make sure you got it targeted right.

Thank you I'll read up on it later. I just wanted to get him to quit following for now.

Wait until you have to mount a Ptera in a hurry and realize the only way to get the ride option to work is to crawl up inside its rearhole spamming E.
