35 FPS = 35 Frames per second
1000 ms/35 = 28,5714~ ms per frame
28,5714 - 10 = 18,5714~ ms per frame
1000 ms/18,5714~ ms/F = 53,8461~ FPS
Though I doubt that you'll actually see 18 FPS increase
1000 ms / 35 fps = 28.57 ms
28.57 ms - 10 ms = 18.57 ms
1000 ms / 18.57 ms = 53.85 fps
Answer: about 54 fps
Holy Hell thanks for an educated response! I wont hold you to it but its good to see some math with such a spectacular outcome. Fingers crossed!!!
You're awesome too man, thanks!!!
Dude, this just means that the devs have been talking with NVidia about getting some specific features in the drivers, who knows, maybe they've been talking with AMD as well?
You're welcome for Nvidia releasing a new driver, though.
- The Right Hand.
Has nothing to do with the Devs, if you read the notes its a new driver version. So it is actually Nvidia who made an optimized driver for the game. You can thank AMD for not giving a ♥♥♥♥ about the owners of their product and not making optimized drivers for ARK.
Any infos on the release date of the driver? Something that confuses me, in the notes it sounds like its going to be you guys releasing the driver, You are just waiting for the "ok to go" from Nvidia.
I kinda got the same idea, more in the direction that you've been talking with NVidia though.
"Coming as soon as NVIDIA will let us get the new drivers out..." needs a rewording if nothing else
I guess they maybe meant. "As soon as Nvidia will give them the new driver, so they can work with it." In any case, its good news.
Frame time in MS is based on your card AND the game optimization. 20ms/f would be 50 FPS, 15 ms/f would be 66 FPS and 8.3ms/f would be 120 FPS.
How much you gain is heavily dependent on what card you're using and what is the MAX your card will be able to gain. If you're using a low end, lets say Nvidia 750 and running at 20FPS at 50ms/f, theoretically you would be bumped to 25FPS at 40ms/f. THAT IS ONLY AND ONLY IF, your card can actually handle the game at 25FPS. If not, it'll be less than 25FPS simply because your card is unable to output that kind of frame.
From The Right Hand's reply:
It kinda sounds like its already a thing though
